Collectible handmade wool bear sculptures

Meet Griz, a friendly little bear that lives in the woods on Bear Mountain.  While many bears are solitary animals Griz is very sociable and likes nothing better than to spend his days visiting with all his friends, of which he has many.  Here you see Griz waving to one of his friends.  $29.95

Each bear is 100% wool hand sculpted by Raven, they are each around 6 inches in their longest dimension (except expanded scenes).  Each bear has a story and a copy of that story is included with each bear.  Please note that Griz and his friends are not toys, while they require very little attention, no food or clean-up, and enjoy affection they  will appreciate being kept away from your live pets, who would probably eat her, and very young children who might try to do the same

The Friends

Dinah is Griz's sister.  She loves to eat, as you can probably tell by her round little tummy.  One of her favorite foods is honey and she keeps a ready supply of honey pots in her cave.  It is rare that a days goes by without her dipping into a honey pot or two.  Here she is taken by surprise as a bee decided he would like to share her honey. $34.95

Here we see Griz's best friend S'Morris.  S'Morris fancies himself quite the outdoorsman, er bear.  While Griz and most of his friends prefer to sleep in nice warm caves S'Morris can usually be found sleeping out in the woods, perhaps by a campfire.  Here we see S'Morris having a little marshmallow snack. $39.95

Rosie is a budding gardener, she loves to spend time in the meadows that are scattered throughout the woods on Bear Mountain just looking at all the beautiful flowers.   Rumor has it she is also Griz's girlfriend.  Here we see her admiring a particularly pretty purple flower. $34.95

Griz's Uncle Dunk is a big grey bear who is an avid fisherman.   There is nothing Dunk enjoys more than sitting by a stream trying to catch some lunch.  Whenever Griz wants to find him he knows that all he needs to do is check Uncle Dunk's favorite fishing spots.  Here you see Uncle Dunk participating in his favorite pastime. $39.95

Flossie is Bear Mountains librarian and historian.  She is the one all the bears go to when they want to know something.  Flossie loves to read and can often be found in the library cave reading the books. When she is not reading she is often out researching the history of the Bear Mountain bears.  $34.95

When winter descends on Bear Mountain most of the bears go into their caves and sleep most of the time till spring .  However Griz's cousin Beau loves the snow and can often be found outside in the winter sledding down hillsides and building snowmen.  Beau has a little brother called Boo and here Beau is helping Boo build his first snowman using a hat he found in a tree. $49.95

Mr. Frank is a wise old bear that lives in a cave high on Bear Mountain.  He is good Friends with Griz's Uncle Dunk and often sends Griz on errands to gather things from the farm valley for him.  Here we see Mr. Frank in his favorite role, that of Claus the solstice bear with a baby bear on his knee.  Every Winter Solstice Frank puts on a red cap and gives out presents to all the young bears on Bear Mountian.  $39.95

Cheer and Shout are twin brothers who are crazy about sports and VERY competitive with each other. Cheer is brown with a grey face and Shout is black with a light brown face. Whenever the bears play their games, Cheer and Shout are always on different teams. Despite their competitive nature, the two brothers are still very good friends and do almost everything together. (each bear available with your choice of team colors)  $34.95 each
