Stock Dog Trial & Fiber Festival

July 2-5, 2009
The 2009 Sheep Thrillz stock dog trial and fiber
festival will be the largest we have ever held. Four days of Sheepdog
competition, three days of fiber festival, all culminating in the ultimate
challenge of a double lift Championship trial with qualifying for the Soldier
Hollow Classic on the line. The trial and festival will be preceded by a
herding clinic on June 30-July1 with Beverly Lambert ,one of the most successful sheepdog trainers
and handlers in the country over the past decade.

Trial Awards
| Thursday Awards to the top three dogs in each class (min 5 dogs in class) and prize money to the top 10% in Pro novice. |
| Friday and Saturday prize money to top 10% and awards for top three open dogs, awards to the top 2 Nursery dogs |
| "The Jess Willard Home Grown and Trained Award" will be awarded to the high combined score from Friday and Saturdays open competition, for a dog that is owned and trained by the handler from an age of not more than seven months. The award includes a $200 cash prize and a collar. |
| The 16 competitors in the double lift will be selected as follows. The top four competitors from the open class competitions on Friday and again on Saturday. The remaining slots filled by those competitors obtaining the highest combined total for the two days of competition. |
| The Winner of the double lift on Sunday will take home a spectacular wool sculpture trophy and an entry in the 2009 Soldier Hollow Classic. |
